The student nurses from Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP) conducted an information drive on hypertension and diabetes, today, April 15, 2025 at MTWD Building, 4th floor.
The information drive aims to keep awareness among MTWD employees on the do’s and don’ts in order to avoid and prevent these health conditions. The student nurses discussed proper measures, proper diet, nutrition and exercise in order to stay healthy and fit and prevent complications of hypertension and diabetes.
General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE in his opening message emphasized the importance of those awareness and the significance of health consciousness among employees since good health is a key to a productive and successful organization.

On top of the orientation on health awareness, they also discussed common safety hazards in the water industry and the exposure of clean water to harmful substances. They emphasized the importance of seeking assistance from technical personnel to address water quality issues.
It is also worth mentioning that the SPUP student nurses were stationed for one month at the first floor and second floor of the MTWD building as part of their immersion and conduct daily blood pressure monitoring of employees and customers.
The MTWD management and employees are grateful for the insights imparted and shared by the student nurses as they effectively and efficiently perform their duties as public servants.
