A simple soft blessing was conducted today, June 28, 2024, for the new sub-office of MTWD in Piat, Cagayan. The blessing was graced by Rev. Fr. Benjamin T. Lasam together with Piat Mayor, Honorable Leonel C. Guzman and General Manager, Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan. The event was also attended by members of the Board of Directors, Engr. Fausta  L. Tanguilan and Ms. Lorna L. Dimalanta, other senior officials of MTWD – Assistant General Manager Engr. Janice R. Cardenas, Department Manager Ms. Jocelyn B. De Jesus and Acting Department Manager Engr. Danjoe S. Valdez and other employees of the MTWD.

The operation of the Piat Water System was transferred from the Piat LGU to MTWD back in December 2003. Since then, the MTWD has invested in development and improvement of the system to provide better water services in the municipality of Piat. Among the major projects to improve the Piat Water System are the construction of elevated steel tank, development of the Maguiling Pumping Station and extension of mainline to other Barangays. Over the years, MTWD sub-office operates in the vicinity of the municipal gymnasium and we extend our sincerest gratitude to the local government of Piat for the years of hosting the MTWD office. The new sub-office demonstrates the commitment of the District to better serve the community by providing an accessible and more comfortable office to cater to its customers. It is also currently developing additional water sources to reach and serve adjacent barangays.

The new sub-office is located at Visitacion St., Poblacion 2, at the same compound with the existing elevated steel tank. It is now open to the customer-concessionaires from Piat and caters to the regular services such as bills payment, new water service application and job order requests.
