The members of the technical working group of the District attended the GEDSI Summit 2023 on February 28, 2023 to March 1, 2023 at Baguio Country Club, Baguio City. Through its theme Breaking Barriers-Creating Ripples of Change for Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), it aims to encourage and motivate every participating agency to develop an action plan in addressing the challenges faced by every woman, employees with disabilities in the organization from achieving their full potential and promote gender equality and women empowerment in reaching development and stability.

This activity was facilitated and hosted by the Civil Service Commission-Cordillera Administrative Region (CSC-CAR) through the leadership of Regional Director Nerissa Canguilan in coordination with the distinguished resource persons from different agencies. Dir. Canguilan in her opening remarks emphasized the importance of practicing GEDSI in the organization as it results to productivity and efficiency in the organization by maximizing the full potential of every employee.

Said activity was participated by Ms. Jocelyn De Jesus Department Head for Administration, Ms. Ma. Teresita Cruz-Human Resource Division Manager, Ms. Marilou Cascolan, Ms. Ma. Cristina Furigay, Atty. Bryan Soriano, Mr. Sammuel Aquino and Ms. Princess Vaneza Turingan-members of the Gender and Development Technical Working Group.

As MTWD and its stakeholders continually grow, the District commits for the inclusion of GEDSI development initiatives for sustainable outcomes and effective impact for the entire MTWD coverage.
