The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) completed a household survey aimed at assessing the availability and quality of water provided to customers-concessionaires across Tuguegarao City. Conducted from September 4 to 7, 2024, the survey engaged 380 out of 38,900 active connections randomly selected respondents from various barangays.
The survey sought to gather feedback on several key areas, including the 24/7 availability of water, water pressure, water potability, as well as their overall satisfaction with MTWD’s services. This initiative is part of the continuing commitment to ensuring high-quality water services to its customers-concessionaires.
Survey results showed an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, with an overall satisfaction rating of 88.74%, categorized as “Satisfactory.” Notably, the District received a 90.79% rating (“Very Satisfactory”) for water supply reliability, 85.49% (“Satisfactory”) for water pressure acceptability, and 92.18% (“Very Satisfactory”) for the reasonableness of water rates. However, while MTWD ensures that water it distributes to consumers is potable and that it is compliant to the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water, customers-concessionaires still choose purified or filtered water from water refilling stations for their drinking needs.
The positive feedback from the 2024 household survey reflects the continuing efforts of MTWD to provide reliable and quality water services to its customers-concessionaires. While challenges remain, particularly in changing consumer perceptions regarding quality services, the District remains committed to continuous improvement. By addressing customer concerns and enhancing service delivery, MTWD strives to further strengthen public confidence ensuring that every household has access to safe, potable and adequate water supply 24/7.
