
General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE actively took part during the opening ceremonies as he delivered the introduction to the PAWD plenary learning sessions. In his message, he gave emphasis on the important role of PAWD in fostering partnerships and the continual linkage it creates to advance the shared mission to deliver quality water services.
Considering the ongoing infrastructure development, technological innovation and system upgrade of the District, the convergence served as an avenue for benchmarking and an opportunity to integrate significant strategies to sustain its economic viability and further improve operational framework.

The convergence also focused on addressing issues and challenges confronting the local water districts that impedes sustainability. During the reactors discussion, Atty. Jose Moises Salonga, LWUA Administrator answered and explained the concerns of the expectators as he emphasized the contextual kindergarten approach that will further help them identify problems from the grassroots and will enable them to come up with sound policies and resolutions. Further, lecture sessions on climate change and sustainable development goal 6 (SDG 6) which ensures access to water and sanitation is one of the key mandates of PAWD and the entire water industry-which aims to end lack of access and poor water sanitation by 2030.
