The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) faithfully and continually executes the constitutional mandate in ensuring full public disclosure of all government records including public interest and upholds the constitutional right of the Filipino people to information on matters of public concern. As such, MTWD has been compliant to Executive Order No. 2 S. 2016 or Freedom of Information Order since 2018 and had been revalidated as FULLY COMPLIANT in 2021 by the Presidential Communications Operations Office.

This innovative procedural scheme has paved way in ensuring that the people’s right to information is guaranteed and not frowned upon by any government agencies where useful information may be sourced. Also, this systematic scheme complements with the standard and the continuing guidelines of ISO 9001:2015 where MTWD is also recertified. 

The MTWD FOI Manual that set out the rules and procedures which the District follows when a request for specific information is brought before the office covers all requests for information directed within its area of coverage, namely, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Water System, Solana, Cagayan Water System and Piat, Cagayan Water System.

It is therefore a continuing commitment of MTWD to consistently comply with FOI requirements and adhere with the government rules and regulations pertaining to Freedom of Information.
