Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE, General Manager of the Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District, led the holding of the first flag ceremony of the year on January 06, 2025, the first Monday of the year. The flag raising ceremony, conducted every Monday, is a civic duty of every official and employees of the government in General and of the District in particular to show their utmost commitment to the values and principles of a public servant as represented by our National Flag.
In today’s ceremony, Patriotism is the value focus for the bureaucracy-wide Values Restoration Program. This value reminds us not only to be a patriot in times of war through the defense of our country and protection of its sovereignty and independence. It is also imperatively shown through our loyalty and commitment to our constitution, laws and our way of life. The conduct of the flag raising ceremony also signifies our national pride and patriotism.
As discussed by the Assistant General Manager, Engr. Janice R. Cardenas, patriotism can also be shown through our gratefulness of our national wealth and identity. MTWD officials and employees proudly wore their Filipiniana and ASEAN-inspired attires which is also in support and compliance with Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 16, s. 2024.
