The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) remains committed in delivering reliable water services by ensuring functional and accurate water meters. These water meters during procurement process and prior to its installation, undergo stringent calibration. 

 

The calibration process involves comprehensive testing and inspection of each water meter to guarantee compliance with industry standards. Using the District’s meter bench calibration machine, the accuracy of the meters is measured to ensure they provide consistent readings and can endure long-term use in various environmental conditions. Only meters that pass this rigorous process are installed, reinforcing MTWD’s dedication to transparency, fairness, and accountability in water distribution. Inaccurate meters are rejected and returned to supplier for replacement.

 

This proactive approach to quality assurance aligns with its core vision and mission of delivering excellent service while continuously improving operational efficiency at par with internationally recognized standards. Interestingly, MTWD has calibrated and installed 1,404 new water meters, and has replaced 678 old and dilapidated meters from January 01 to August 31, 2024, ensuring that customers receive accurate billing and reliable water service.
