The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD)in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) celebrated the World Consumer Rights Day through the conduct of simultaneous clean-up drive in the offices and water facilities of Tuguegarao City, Solana and Piat.
The clean-up drive aims to remind every individual of the importance of a clean working environment and its effect to the employee morale and productivity. This also nurtures our sense of responsibility towards our customers-concessionaires and to the environment as MTWD endeavors to maintain water sustainability and operational efficiency.

This year, World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated on March 15, 2025 with the theme, “A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles”.
The DTI also turned over 20 narra seedlings and seeds to MTWD in time for the semi annual tree growing activity of the District for this year which will also be held tomorrow at the MTWD Watershed in San Roque, Peñablanca where over 15,000 seedlings are planted.

The MTWD management under the leadership of General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE is grateful to the DTI management and staff for the continual linkage and further commits to maintain and strengthen its corporate social responsibility activities relative to consumer rights, environmental preservation and sustainability.
