Angkal Danum is an Ibanag term for Uncle Water and is inspired by the logo of Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD). It is a big water droplet emphasizing water as an important element. Its big jolly eyes and mouth exhibits its successes and resiliency in every challenge. The cap of Uncle Danum represents the MTWD field personnel who relentlessly work hard despite heavy rains. Also, the stripes on Angkal Danum’s body came from the agency’s logo which speaks of the tight relationship of the MTWD family. It further represents the immense and unending projects and programs of MTWD in order to better its services for the welfare of its customers.

Angkal Danum was launched during the 40th Milestone Anniversary of MTWD on August 1, 2018.
