MTWD held blessing and inauguration ceremonies for its water facilities located at key water source sites in Ugac Sur, Namabbalan Norte and Larion Bajo in celebration of its 47th founding anniversary today, August 1, 2025.
The celebration began with the blessing of the Ugac Sur Booster Stations, a major infrastructure upgrade designed to strengthen water distribution in the city particularly in Centro Tuguegarao, Ugac Sur, and Ugac Norte. The facility features a cylindrical bolted steel tank with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters and two powerful pumps that help improve water pressure even in elevated areas.

The newly inaugurated Namabbalan 2 Production Well is now fully operational, supplying water to the barangays of Namabbalan Norte, Namabbalan Sur, Dadda, and Tagga. The well draws water from a depth of 80 meters and utilizes a high-capacity pump to deliver a consistent and reliable flow to the communities it serves.
Meanwhile, the newly commissioned Larion 3 Production Well has begun supplying water to the eastern barangays. Constructed to extract water from 100 meters underground, it is equipped with a robust pump system that ensures a strong and steady supply to meet the daily water needs of the local population.
The blessing and inauguration was presided by Rev. Fr. Franklin P. Manibog and was graced by Honorable City Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que, General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE, Assistant General Manager for Technical Services and Operations Engr. Janice R. Cardenas, Acting Department Manager Engr. Danjoe S. Valdez members of the Board of Directors Dir. Fausta L. Tanguilan, Dir. Teresita R. Rios, Dir. Lorna L. Dimalanta and Dir. Albert G. Babaran. Other members of the MTWD management and staff were also present in the said activity.
