The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) celebrates the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) month, today, May 5, 2025 with the theme,โ๐
๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐๐ญ: ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌโ, at MTWD ground, Main Avenue, San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City.
In line with Presidential Proclamation No.818 declaring the month of May of every year as the โEase of Doing Business (EODB) Month, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) as the lead agency in the celebration thereof has identified activities that shall emphasize the commitment of Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) to regulatory efficiency and service improvement.
The jumpstart of the EODB month was conducted through an EODB themed first flag ceremony for the month of May. Mr. Maynard Matammu, Acting Division Manager of Corporate Planning and Public Affairs discussed the importance of the EODB month highlighting its objective to raise awareness, promote reforms, and encourage collaboration among government agencies, the private sector and the public to enhance the ease of doing business in the Philippines. He also mentioned the significance of the citizens charter that serve as a backbone in achieving utmost efficiency in government service delivery, and the lined-up activities for the EODB month that will further enhance and strengthen the ease of doing business within the District.
A recognition of high-performing service and personnel of the District also took place during the flag ceremony. Ms. Hazel N. Addun and Ms. Marinel M. Pamittan both from Water Quality Section were awarded for their exemplary performance and unwavering commitment to service excellence in promoting Ease of Doing Business. The Water Quality Section headed by Engr. Jonjon Escalo was also awarded for achieving an impressive score of 95.21% equivalent to an outstanding rating based on the Anti-Red Tape Authority assessment. The certificates of recognition were awarded by General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE, Assistant General Manager Engr. Janice R. Cardenas, Acting Department Manager Ms. Ma. Imelda Bacud, Human Resource Division Manager Ms. Ma. Teresita P. Cruz and Mr. Maynard Matammu, Acting Division Manager of Corporate Planning and Public Affairs.
General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE, commended the high-performing personnel and unit for their dedication, professionalism and for advancing the goals of ease of doing business-making customer satisfaction a priority. He also emphasized that these efforts are vital in all public service providers such as the MTWD through consistent demonstration of efficiency and frontline innovation.
The observance of the celebration of the EODB month is a reminder to every public servant of his/her key role in promoting the constitutional mandate of transparency, efficiency and accountability in the government service and the commitment to fully eliminate bureaucratic red tape.
