Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD) conducted a pre-assessment and inspection of billeting schools for the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games 2025. This inspection is one of the preparatory activities of the District to ensure adequacy of water during the PRISAA 2025 on April 03-11, 2025 which will be participated by over 12,000 athletes and coaches from across the country. The District has previously issued Office Order No. 02-071 creating the Special Task Force to ensure adequate and uninterrupted supply of water during this national event.
From February 07 to 11, 2025, a team of inspectors visited the 18 schools in Tuguegarao City assigned to host the participants. The inspection focused on assessing water supply sufficiency, recording of pressure, and checking the availability of storage. Water samples were also collected for potability testing to guarantee safe drinking water for all participants.
MTWD also identified potential areas requiring support, such as tank cleaning or maintenance, installation of new water service connection/s and possible water rationing. The Task Force is currently drafting the pre-assessment report for management for review and approval of specific activities and actions. These efforts align with MTWD’s commitment to public health and service excellence, ensuring that PRISAA participants experience a reliable water service. The District will continue to monitor supply conditions during the event, ready to address any concerns that may arise.
