Series of workshop was conducted to assess the HGDG Design Checklist. Participants utilized the checklist to evaluate the gender responsiveness of a proposed project and to develop a gender-responsive project proposal, which will serve as the primary document to be evaluated using the HGDG design checklist. In order to evaluate the overall knowledge of the participants, they were also tasked to come up with a Gender-responsive Project Proposal.
Overall, the seminar provided a valuable opportunity, particularly for water districts seeking to enhance their implementation of Gender and Development Program. In today’s context, where all government agencies are mandated to adopt gender mainstreaming as a strategy to promote and uphold women’s human rights and eliminate gender discrimination within their systems, structures, policies, processes, and procedures, local water districts are expected to play a significant role in advancing gender equality and women empowerment.
The seminar was attended by Ms. Rhoss May Angelette T. Serquiña, Acting Division Manager-Accounting Division, Mr. Jaime S. Pascual III, Senior Researcher Analyst B and Ms. Marilou Q. Cascolan, Internal Relations Management Officer B.
