With the continuing vision and mandate to reach communities within the entire area coverage of MTWD, a Barangay orientation was held on August 6, 2024 at Barangay Iraga, Solana.
The said activity aims to impart to the residents of Barangay Iraga the advantages of having safe and potable water thru the provision of water supply coming from the sources of MTWD.
Topics on the requirements for water service application, brief profile of MTWD, payment facilities and social media accounts, advantages and health benefits of having connection and possible costs of water installation were also tackled. An open forum ensued after the discussion of the topics where issues and concerns were properly answered by the MTWD employees concerned.
The recently drilled lot where the future Iraga pumping station will be constructed paves way to the operation of the upcoming water system and shall serve an avenue for further development.
Barangay Chairman Teresita L. Edillo, in her message, expressed her support and cooperation to the project of MTWD in order to address the challenges on water quality and supply of the residents. This is shown by the overwhelming attendance and participation of the residents during the said activity.
General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan, CESE, in his closing message, also expressed his gratitude to the Barangay officials of Iraga and its constituents for their willingness to avail the services of MTWD. He also thanked the Local Government Unit of Solana through the leadership of Mayor Jennalyn P. Carag and the Barangay Iraga officials through the leadership of Bry. Capt. Teresita L. Edillo for donating the property lot where the Iraga Pump Station will be constructed and for entrusting to MTWD the provision of water to the residents as this expansion project will change the quality of life of the people.
