The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District actively participated in a Clean-up activity organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environment Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Region 2 on March 23, 2024.

This initiative was part of the DENR-EMB’s implementation of their action plan for the Adopt an Estero/Water Body Program and coincided with the district’s celebration of World Water Day 2024. The program fostered collaboration among the twenty-one employees who represented the District, as well as various government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups.
Participation in cleanup activities served to raise awareness about the proactive approach to environmental conservation and the significance of preserving and protecting freshwater ecosystems.
This collective effort will empower communities to take tangible actions aimed at improving water quality, enhancing habitat biodiversity, and promoting the sustainable management of precious freshwater resources.
