The Local Government of Tuguegarao City together with the Department of Interior and Local Government conducted its 4^th Quarter Joint City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) Meeting yesterday, December 13, 2023 at Ivory Lodge, Buntun, Tuguegarao City. The joint meeting was convened primarily to discuss updates on the peace and order situation of the city. The Honorable City Mayor Maila Ting-Que graced and opened the meeting where she stressed the significant role of the council member agencies in ensuring peace and order in the locality especially in the recently concluded Bar Examination 2023. Representatives from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency reported situational updates for this year. Notably, as reported by the PNP, crime rate has decreased compared to the same period of last year.

The council members also received plaque of recognition from the CPOC and CADAC as members of the 2023 Bar Examination Task Force which ensured the safe and successful conduct of the 2023 Bar Examination held in Cagayan State University Carig Campus on September 17, 20, and 24, 2023. The Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District under the leadership of General Manager Engr. Miller C. Tanguilan was awarded with the plaque of recognition in the performance of its duty to ensure water availability at all times during the Bar Examination days and for its unwavering support to Tuguegarao City. The plaque was received by the Department Manager for Finance and Administration, Ms. Jocelyn B. De Jesus.
