As the most populated barangay in Solana, Cagayan which accounts for almost 7% of the municipalityโs total population, the program aims to provide safe, potable and affordable water to the residential as well as commercial establishments in barangay Sampaguita. It also aims to eliminate the existing water-related problems such as presence of micro-organisms and common chemicals and metals in untreated underground water
The Committee is composed of four teams tasked to undertake massive information dissemination and education campaign to residents and households about the advantages and benefits of having a water connection in the newly and fully functional independent water system commissioned in Barangay Sampaguita.
The Marketing Team listed a total of eleven actual water service applicants and fifty-six prospective resident applicants during the first day of the activity.
MTWD further commits to strengthen its efforts in ensuring that the residents within its area of coverage have equal access to safe, potable and affordable water supply.
